Hello Karen,

I have enjoyed your blog. I love the picture. Keep adding more pictures of your children. I also really like your answser to the socialization question.

I would like to comment to the one post about children learning to argue with others. I took this poster's comments to mean that homeschool children do not learn how to effectively handle disagreements without resorting to physical means. I question if this poster has children who spend large amounts of time together. My children have ample opportunity to practice disagreeing with each other. If the incident escalates then we hold remedial communication classes. The length of classes correspond to the infraction. I find the classes are very effective in teaching my children to think about their impending actions.

If the poster is referring to dealing with people who are not working from the same rule book, then again this poster must feel homeschool children are locked inside. Through extended family, neighbours, classes and activities my children meet many people who do not agree with my way of doing things. This enables me to talk to my children and provides many teachable moments.

Bye Karen, and have a wonderful day. Paula
